Senior Biostatistician

Core responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI that clearly communicate public health data to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct statistical analyses and data preparation to support dashboard content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, analysts, and program staff to understand data needs and translate them into effective visual solutions.
• Provide training and technical support to staff on using and interpreting dashboards.

This role transforms complex public health data into interactive, user-friendly dashboards that inform decision-making and drive public health action, supporting public health initiatives across Nevada.

Required qualifications:

• Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Math, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in biostatistics or data analysis, preferably in a public health or state agency setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency using dashboarding tools including proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling and dashboard design.
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, STATA, SPSS).

Salary: $75,000 plus benefits. This position is onsite in Reno or Carson City, Nevada. Relocation expenses are not included.
