Senior BESS Electrical Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems, including system architecture, electrical layout, and integration with power generation, distribution, and control systems
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy storage system sizing analyses to evaluate project viability and recommend optimal BESS configurations
• Provide technical oversight during procurement processes including vendor selection recommendations and approval drawing reviews
• Oversee system modeling, simulation, and analysis to optimize BESS performance, efficiency, and reliability

This role contributes to the deployment of battery energy storage systems that support renewable energy integration and grid stability, helping advance the transition to clean energy across North America.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with focus on battery energy storage systems, renewable energy, or power systems integration
• Demonstrated expertise in design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems including lithium-ion batteries, inverters, BMS, and grid interconnection equipment
• Proficiency in power system analysis software and energy storage simulation tools
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred

Compensation Range: $107,421.00 - $143,228.00
