Senior Backend Tooling Software Engineer

• Design, build, and scale internal platforms and tools that empower Customer Success, Support, and Engineering teams to debug issues efficiently and streamline workflows.
• Develop automation tools to reduce manual intervention and improve operational velocity across the cloud platform.
• Enhance observability by improving logging, metrics, and tracing capabilities to provide actionable insights.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture through design reviews and best practices.

By building high-leverage tooling and automation, this role enables Crusoe to operate more efficiently, reducing operational friction and accelerating the deployment of AI infrastructure that powers sustainable energy solutions.

• 5+ years of software experience in backend development.
• Proven experience building internal tools or platforms that improve developer productivity or operational workflows.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD), and observability.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with non-engineering stakeholders and translate needs into technical solutions.

Compensation range: $175,000 - $210,000 + Bonus.
