Senior Backend Engineer

• Build and maintain backend services for Octopus Energy's customer-facing platforms, including time-of-use tariffs and meter reading features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional, multi-country teams to develop robust, fault-tolerant software that supports the energy revolution.

• Strong experience with Python and Django (or equivalent web framework).
• Expertise in domain modeling, GraphQL, and writing robust, fault-tolerant software.
• Experience with Celery, async processing, and Postgres.
• Bonus: AWS or other cloud infrastructure, React/Next.js with TypeScript.
