Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/x) - remote

• Design, build, and maintain core APIs and backend services for Refurbed's marketplace
• Own the operations and monitoring of production systems and integrate third-party systems and APIs
• Design and implement new features and services, and identify best practices for the engineering department
• Contribute to engineering culture by mentoring junior colleagues and collaborating with cross-functional teams

This role helps power Europe's fastest-growing marketplace for refurbished products, enabling customers to buy products up to 40% cheaper while making a substantial impact on reducing CO2 emissions and making consumption more sustainable.

• 7+ years experience designing and building scalable backend services in a modern production environment
• Strong proficiency in Go and deep understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture
• Well-versed in SQL and relational database design, with general frontend knowledge
• Self-starter with strong ownership, initiative, and excellent English skills based in a European time zone
