Senior Backend Developer (Typescript)

Core responsibilities include:

• Developing Upright's data analytics platform for institutional investment organizations and corporations
• Working on platform team to build customer-facing and internal tools, or data teams to produce impact data and supporting datasets
• Developing data pipelines, algorithms, and Python microservices for net impact models and machine learning solutions
• Implementing new features, bug fixes, improving technical infrastructure, and developing novel algorithms

This role creates positive change by developing data analytics tools that help institutional investors and corporations measure and improve their net impact, enabling more responsible business practices.

Required qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including 1+ year with TypeScript
• Experience with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, and React (or ability to learn quickly)
• Understanding of full software lifecycle including design, development, deployment, and operations
• Ability to work autonomously and in teams with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Additional valued qualifications:

• Experience with distributed, data-intensive software products
• Experience with machine learning technologies
• Experience with Docker, Elasticsearch, AWS Cloudfront, AWS S3
• Python programming experience with numerical libraries
