Senior Attorney, Louisiana Clean Affordable Power

• Lead EDF's legal and regulatory advocacy in support of clean energy in Louisiana, primarily representing EDF before the Louisiana Public Service Commission and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO)
• Develop briefs, motions, litigation filings, and administrative comments advocating for clean energy priorities, and conduct research on legal, legislative, and regulatory issues
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop strategy, refine policies, generate thought leadership, and build public understanding about clean energy infrastructure
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, including environmental justice and community-based organizations, and support fundraising efforts

This role advances clean, affordable energy solutions in Louisiana to decarbonize the electric system, reduce power sector emissions, and deliver health and climate benefits while maintaining grid reliability and affordability.

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years of practice directly relevant to Louisiana energy regulation before bodies like the Louisiana Public Service Commission or MISO
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and an active bar membership in Louisiana in good standing required
• Proficiency with Louisiana Public Service Commission and MISO procedural rules, and familiarity with major energy issues facing Louisiana (e.g., load growth, electrification, renewable generation)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience in regulatory advocacy, litigation, and/or policy development at the state or federal level
