What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Support the annual organization-wide work planning and budgeting process, developing and maintaining departmental budget tools and project budgets
  • Manage grant budgets and perform regular grant reconciliations, supporting the full grant lifecycle including proposal budget development, donor financial reporting, and grant close-out
  • Prepare monthly budget vs. actual reports and variance analyses, lead quarterly re-projections, and support ongoing forecasting
  • Collaborate with accounting colleagues to process expense reclasses and grant allocations, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with donor requirements

What makes you a great fit

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 4–6 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, grants management, or financial analysis, preferably in a nonprofit or advocacy organization
  • Experience managing restricted grants and donor reporting requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with systems such as QuickBooks, ADP, Concur, Box, or Asana preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance audiences
