Senior Applied AI Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Drive AI innovation and rapid experimentation to advance Prologis capabilities in agentic workflows, reasoning approaches, evaluation methods, and emerging techniques.
• Design and execute timeboxed pilots with clear hypotheses, success metrics, and kill/scale decision points to establish new and evolve existing enterprise AI patterns.
• Build reference implementations and handoff documents so successful experiments transition into scalable architectures in partnership with the Central AI team.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and vendor offerings, synthesizing external research into actionable recommendations for Prologis.

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering production-quality systems with expert Python skills and strong AWS architecture experience.
• Strong data foundations including SQL, data modeling, APIs/integration patterns, and experience with RAG and text-to-SQL patterns.
• Demonstrated rigor in experimentation with hypothesis-driven approaches, evaluation plans, metrics, timeboxing, and pragmatic decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience, with hands-on experience designing and interpreting LLM evaluations and agentic systems.

Compensation and benefits:

• Hiring Salary Range: $125,000 - $186,000 plus bonus target
