What you will drive

Core responsibilities for this Senior Analyst role:

  • Support the development and delivery of SPEN's regulatory strategy, including preparing robust consultation responses and ensuring regulatory obligations are met
  • Monitor the regulatory landscape by reviewing relevant publications and attending external events, reporting key insights to the Distribution Regulation team
  • Track and interpret policy developments related to electricity distribution and the ED3 price control, influencing outcomes through participation in Ofgem and industry working groups
  • Assist the business in preparing clear, evidence-based regulatory submissions, including consultation responses, reopeners, and policy briefings

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to outline complex issues in a straightforward and succinct way
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and well organized to support working across multiple key policy areas
  • Experience from a regulation, policy, economics, commercial or code's role is preferred, with experience in electricity networks or the wider energy sector being advantageous
