Senior Algorithms Software Engineer

• Develop Route & Speed Optimization solutions, including improving existing algorithms and deploying new ones
• Investigate completed voyages that raised customer concerns, justify optimization pipeline behavior, and plan improvements
• Conduct algorithm evaluation through developing internal tools for savings analysis and delivering research reports
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including product owners, naval experts, and MLOps engineers to understand business needs

This role helps shipping companies cut fuel consumption and reduce emissions through advanced optimization algorithms, contributing to environmental sustainability in the maritime industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
• Proven expertise in designing, developing and deploying optimization algorithms to production
• 2+ years of Python experience and industrial experience with low-level programming languages like Rust, C++ or C
• Proven expertise in Combinatorial Optimization with emphasis on graph methods and shortest path problems
