What you will drive

  • Use your expertise to influenceprofessional practice, systems, and policiesto improve outcomes for deaf children in early years and education.
  • ChampionFamily Centred Early Intervention (FCEI) principlesinternally and externally.
  • Embed insights from thelatest researchto meet the needs of deaf children.
  • Focus primarily onEngland, with flexibility to support UK and international contexts using transferable expertise.
  • Engage with theeducation sectorand represent NDCS at key forums (e.g.,BATOD,NATSIP).
  • Collaborate with external partners to strengthen impact and reach.
  • Work with theActivate Chapterto develop strategic resources for decision-makers, includingpolicy materials and consultation responses.
  • Deep understanding ofearly years systems and supportfor children withdisabilities and additional needs.
  • Appreciation ofdevolved systemsand ability to represent NDCS in forums across the UK.
  • Acollaborative mindsetand commitment to improving outcomes for deaf children.
  • Capability to adapt within a changeable environment.
  • Strongdigital skillsand a sound understanding ofagile values & principles.
  • A criminal record check /DBS disclosure(if offered the position).
