Security Operations Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Build operational security at Apollo Research from the ground up
• Maintain the trust of frontier AI lab partners and enable the research mission
• Execute fast and make pragmatic tradeoffs on security implementations
• Own a broad set of security responsibilities across the organization

This role maintains the trust of frontier AI lab partners and enables Apollo Research's mission by building operational security from the ground up, ensuring secure AI research can proceed effectively.

Required skills and experience:

• Deep hands-on experience with modern security tooling like MDM, EDR, and identity management
• Service-oriented approach and ability to be trusted by non-security people
• Ability to work closely with CISO on certification, threat modeling, and stakeholder relationships
• Collaboration skills to work with engineering team on infrastructure-as-code and secure software architecture
