About This Role

As a Security Analyst/Intern, you'll be the first line of defense, monitoring and triaging security alerts to protect critical energy infrastructure. Your work ensures that potential threats are identified and escalated promptly, directly supporting the reliability and security of sustainable energy systems.

๐Ÿ’ก A Day in the Life

Your day starts by checking the SIEM dashboard for new alerts, triaging them based on severity, and documenting findings in the ticketing system. You'll collaborate with senior analysts to escalate critical incidents, participate in team huddles to discuss emerging threats, and spend time learning new security tools or attending training sessions to sharpen your skills.

๐ŸŽฏ Who HITACHI ENERGY Is Looking For

  • A recent graduate or student in Cybersecurity or a related field with foundational knowledge of security principles and networking.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, or EDR solutions through coursework, labs, or internships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills, able to accurately log incidents and communicate findings clearly.
  • Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced security operations environment, with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

๐Ÿ“ Tips for Applying to HITACHI ENERGY

1

Highlight any hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) or security tools in your resume or cover letter.
