How to Apply for Scrum Master
at The Cadmus Group
🏢 About The Cadmus Group
The Cadmus Group has been pioneering sustainable change since 1995 through innovative policy solutions and strategic stakeholder engagement, making it unique in its long-term commitment to environmental and social impact. Working here offers the opportunity to apply Agile methodologies to meaningful projects that drive real-world sustainability outcomes, blending technical delivery with purpose-driven work.
About This Role
This Scrum Master role involves serving as both a facilitator for one or multiple teams and an Agile Coach mentoring Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members at The Cadmus Group. You'll be instrumental in ensuring adherence to Agile principles while removing impediments that hinder progress on projects focused on sustainable policy and stakeholder engagement, directly contributing to the company's mission-driven work.
💡 A Day in the Life
A typical day might start with facilitating a remote daily stand-up for one of your assigned teams, followed by working with a Product Owner to refine backlog items for an upcoming sustainability policy project. You'd spend midday coaching a newer Scrum Master on impediment removal strategies, then facilitate a sprint planning session for another team before ending the day documenting team metrics and preparing for an upcoming retrospective to improve team processes.

- Has extensive experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS) with proven ability to handle multiple teams simultaneously
- Demonstrates deep practical knowledge of multiple Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and Lean principles, not just theoretical understanding
- Shows evidence of successful mentoring and coaching of both teams and individuals on Agile practices with measurable improvements

📝 Tips for Applying to The Cadmus Group
Highlight specific experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe or LeSS) in your resume, as this is explicitly mentioned in the requirements for this policy-focused organization
Quantify your impact as a Scrum Master - include metrics like team velocity improvements, reduction in impediments resolved, or cycle time decreases that demonstrate tangible results
Tailor your application to show how Agile practices can support sustainable policy work - connect your experience to mission-driven projects
Emphasize remote facilitation experience since this is a fully remote position with likely distributed teams across the US
Include examples of coaching Product Owners specifically, as this role explicitly mentions mentoring Product Owners in addition to teams
