Mission

What you will drive

  • Serve as a public expert on wildlife connectivity and water issues, focusing on threats from urban sprawl, habitat loss, and climate change.
  • Research and draft comment letters, reports, policy documents, factsheets, and educational materials based on sound science.
  • Support development and advancement of strategic policy positions to benefit freshwater systems and wildlife connectivity.
  • Give presentations at public hearings, work with local planning staff, and engage with media.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Minimum three years of professional experience or advanced degree in conservation biology, ecology, planning or related field.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Familiarity with environmental laws (CEQA, NEPA, ESA) and land-use policies.
  • Proven experience working with coalitions and diverse groups.
