Scientist, Cell Biology

Core responsibilities:

• Contribute to Cell Biology innovation aligned with the company's core strategic goals, thinking critically and creatively about cell-based assays
• Plan and execute Cell Biology experiments in a primarily bench role, including culturing and transfecting diverse mammalian cell types, developing cell-based assays, and quantifying protein expression
• Evaluate immune responses to novel nucleic acid cargoes and perform kit-based nucleic acid extraction
• Potentially contribute to molecular biology tasks and animal studies (though no hands-on work with live animals)

This role contributes to developing novel delivery technologies that will fundamentally redefine how genetic medicines can treat disease, potentially curing intractable diseases and improving human health.

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related field, preferably in DNA- or RNA-related research
• Expertise in diverse cell biology techniques and experience developing/executing cell-based delivery assays
• Outstanding rigor and creativity in planning, executing, and interpreting experiments
• Passion for challenging, fast-paced, ever-changing science and caring deeply about work and colleagues

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary range: $100,000 - $143,000
