Scientific Data Systems Engineer

Core responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scientific data systems and pipelines for processing remote sensing data
• Implement and optimize algorithms for detecting, pinpointing, and quantifying methane and carbon dioxide emissions
• Ensure data quality, accessibility, and reliability for the Carbon Mapper Data Portal
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate research requirements into technical solutions

This role enables the detection and quantification of greenhouse gas emissions at scale, providing actionable data to decisionmakers worldwide to prioritize and implement mitigation strategies, directly contributing to climate change solutions.

Required qualifications:

• Experience with scientific data systems, remote sensing data processing, or geospatial data engineering
