📝 Tips for Applying to Oxfam
Tailor your CV and cover letter to explicitly highlight your safeguarding experience, especially in Africa, and mention specific achievements or programs you've led.
Demonstrate your understanding of Oxfam's values and feminist principles by referencing them in your application and how they align with your own approach.
Since the role is remote, emphasize your ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and use digital tools for collaboration and training.
If you have experience working with partners and capacity building, highlight this, as it's crucial for the role's focus on supporting partners.
Ensure your application clearly states your legal right to work in the country you intend to be based, as Oxfam cannot sponsor work permits.
✉️ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter
['Your specific experience in implementing safeguarding policies in African contexts, including any challenges and successes.', "Your familiarity with Oxfam's safeguarding framework and your commitment to promoting a culture of safeguarding.", 'Your ability to provide remote technical support and training to diverse teams and partners.', 'Your understanding of the local context and your ability to adapt global policies to local realities.']
