Rural Housing Technical Assistance Specialist (Job #344) ($76,103 - $83,976)

Core responsibilities:

• Work with nonprofit housing organizations, local governments, and Tribal governments to increase their capacity, assess market needs, and facilitate project/program planning
• Deliver direct technical assistance and services, coordinate with other staff, and maintain regular communications with clients and funding agencies
• Develop action plans to increase clients' housing development capacity and conduct compliance reviews
• Prepare written reports, document activities, and deliver technical training at conferences, workshops, and via webinars

This role creates positive change by increasing the capacity of rural and Indigenous communities to develop affordable housing, helping address housing needs and improve living conditions in underserved areas.

Required qualifications:

• Four years of experience in affordable rental housing development/financing, Federal funding programs (HOME, CDBG, Low-income housing tax credits), Tribal housing, single-family construction, or manufactured home communities
• Knowledge of government housing programs and regulations, and tribal housing programs and regulations
• Project management and housing finance experience
• Ability to facilitate meetings, deliver trainings, work independently, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

Salary range: $76,103 - $83,976 annually. Additional benefits include moderate to heavy travel requirements (up to 10 days per month), and RCAC is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.
