ROC Team Lead (Level III)

• Coordinate daily ROC operations, including shift handoffs, task prioritization, and workload distribution across the analyst team.
• Mentor and develop junior Operations Analysts on monitoring best practices, alert triage, and escalation procedures.
• Monitor and analyze day-to-day performance data for ESS’s distributed solar portfolio to identify equipment outages and underperformance.
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex alerts and lead development of standard operating procedures.

This role ensures the reliable operation of over 900 MW of distributed solar assets, directly contributing to the expansion of clean energy and reduction of carbon emissions. By optimizing fleet performance and mentoring team members, the ROC Team Lead accelerates the transition to renewable energy.

• 3-4 years of experience in solar PV fleet monitoring or remote operations, with distributed generation strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (electrical engineering preferred) or equivalent experience in solar operations.
• Established experience with commercial DAS/monitoring platforms (e.g., Also Energy, Power Factors, SolarEdge), SCADA systems, and network communications.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, or lead technical team members; prior team lead or shift supervisor experience preferred.

Expected annual compensation range: $80,000 - $100,000 (base pay plus potential incentive target).
