Research Manager

• Lead investigations into utility monopolies in California that block clean energy and harm ratepayers.
• Work closely with allies and reporters to expose efforts undermining climate progress and perpetuating energy injustice.
• Manage a two-year research program focused on holding corporations accountable.

This role directly exposes the harmful practices of fossil-fuel and utility monopolies, accelerating the transition to clean energy and promoting energy justice for marginalized communities.

• Deep experience in energy advocacy, research, journalism, or politics.
• Ability to follow money trails, file public records requests, and analyze government records and datasets.
• Strong communication skills to distill complex information for maximum political impact.
• Understanding of California electric and gas utilities and their regulatory environment.
