Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on state and federal laws affecting people criminalized for pregnancy outcomes, with emphasis on mandatory reporting and medical privacy laws
  • Translate research into action to end state violence in people's reproductive lives over a 2-year period (September 2026 - September 2028)
  • Create advocacy content for the public, policymakers, and reproductive health movement colleagues
  • Present research at conferences, convenings, and events (both virtual and in-person)

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • J.D. required (bar admission is a plus)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a lawyer capacity
  • Exceptional legal research, analysis, and writing skills with statutory research experience
  • Strong proficiency with Lexis/Nexis and other legal research tools
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and racial justice/anti-racist principles
  • Familiarity with reproductive health, rights, and justice issues and frameworks
