Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on state and federal laws affecting people criminalized for pregnancy outcomes, with emphasis on mandatory reporting and medical privacy laws
- Translate research into action to end state violence in people's reproductive lives through advocacy content creation for public, policymakers, and movement colleagues
- Present research at conferences, convenings, and events (both virtual and in-person) to educate various stakeholders
- Collaborate with Strategic Advocacy Team to produce high-quality legal writing products that help people understand their rights and risks

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- J.D. degree required (bar admission is a plus)
- 1-2 years of experience in a lawyer capacity with legal research and writing experience
- Exceptional legal research, analysis, and writing skills with strong proficiency in Lexis/Nexis and other legal research tools
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and racial justice/anti-racist principles with familiarity of reproductive health, rights, and justice issues
