What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Define and execute on a research agenda, including bringing new people onto the topic
  • Produce original research in the form of academic publications, policy memos, reports, or blog posts
  • Inform policymakers and decision-makers on pressing governance issues
  • Organize events that convene key stakeholders around high-priority questions
  • Contribute to research strategy and institutional priorities
  • Mentor early-career researchers and supervise junior researchers

Required qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to produce excellent research, ideally within or adjacent to AI governance
  • Established expertise in a domain relevant to AI governance
  • Broad familiarity with the field of AI governance
  • Strong interest in positively shaping the lasting impacts of AI
  • Multiple years of relevant research or policy experience
  • Track record of producing high-quality work
  • Self-direction and strong judgment about research prioritization
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills
