What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Define and execute on a research agenda, including bringing new people onto the topic
- Produce original research in the form of academic publications, policy memos, reports, or blog posts
- Inform policymakers and decision-makers on pressing governance issues
- Organize events that convene key stakeholders around high-priority questions
- Contribute to research strategy and institutional priorities
- Mentor early-career researchers and supervise junior researchers

Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to produce excellent research, ideally within or adjacent to AI governance
- Established expertise in a domain relevant to AI governance
- Broad familiarity with the field of AI governance
- Strong interest in positively shaping the lasting impacts of AI
- Multiple years of relevant research or policy experience
- Track record of producing high-quality work
- Self-direction and strong judgment about research prioritization
- Clear communication and collaboration skills
