Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Review reports, journal papers, and other relevant research publications on distributed renewable energy (DRE) and its grid integration at national and sub-national levels
  • Collect DRE-related data to create comprehensive state-level databases for analysis and assessment
  • Analyze data pertaining to existing and emerging challenges with DRE and its grid integration
  • Conceptualize and implement projects related to increasing the share of grid-connected distributed renewable energy technologies
  • Develop trust-based relationships with key stakeholders including discoms, regulators, state nodal agencies, developers, and research organizations
  • Assist in project execution through activity planning, stakeholder management, and donor engagement

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in renewable energy technologies, economics, public policy, or related field
  • Up to 3 years (Research Analyst) or 4-6 years (Programme Associate) of relevant work experience in research, policy/industry engagement, and project management in electricity policy, distribution, energy modeling, or renewable energy
  • Basic understanding of India's energy markets (specifically grid-connected DRE markets) and policy/regulatory environment
  • Strong ability to organize, process, and analyze large datasets from power/energy models
  • Proficiency in MS-Excel is essential; understanding of STATA/R/Python and data visualization tools is advantageous
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English
  • Prior experience writing white papers, articles, policy briefs, research reports, and conducting surveys
