What you will drive
Key Responsibilities
- Review reports, journal papers, and other relevant research publications on distributed renewable energy (DRE) and its grid integration at national and sub-national levels
- Collect DRE-related data to create comprehensive state-level databases for analysis and assessment
- Analyze data pertaining to existing and emerging challenges with DRE and its integration with the grid
- Conceptualize and implement projects related to increasing the share of grid-connected distributed renewable energy technologies
- Develop trust-based relationships with key stakeholders including discoms, regulators, state nodal agencies, developers, and research organizations
- Assist in project execution through activity planning, stakeholder management, and donor engagement

Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with specialization in renewable energy technologies, economics, public policy or related field
- Up to 3 years for Research Analyst or 4-6 years for Programme Associate of relevant work experience in research, policy/industry engagement and project management in electricity policy, distribution, energy modeling and renewable energy
- Strong ability to organize, process, and analyze large data sets used in power/energy models
- Proficiency in MS-Excel is a must; understanding of STATA/R/Python and data visualization tools is an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural environments with strong interpersonal skills
