Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Review reports, journal papers, and research publications on distributed renewable energy (DRE) and its grid integration
  • Collect DRE-related data to create comprehensive state-level databases for analysis and assessment
  • Analyze data pertaining to existing and emerging challenges with DRE and its grid integration
  • Conceptualize and implement projects related to increasing grid-connected distributed renewable energy technologies
  • Develop trust-based relationships with key stakeholders including discoms, regulators, state nodal agencies, and developers
  • Assist in project execution including activity planning, stakeholder management, and donor engagement
  • Contribute to outreach efforts including organizing events and representing CEEW in industry events

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Master's) in renewable energy technologies, economics, public policy or related field
  • Basic understanding of India's energy markets (specifically grid-connected DRE markets) and policy/regulatory environment
  • Up to 3 years for Research Analyst or 4-6 years for Programme Associate of relevant work experience in research, policy/industry engagement and project management in electricity policy, distribution, energy modeling and renewable energy
  • Prior experience in writing white papers, articles, policy briefs, research reports and undertaking surveys
  • Strong ability to organize, process, and analyze large data sets from power/energy models
  • Proficiency in MS-Excel is a must; understanding of STATA/R/Python and data visualization tools is an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural environments
