Research Analyst/ Programme Associate - Clean Air

Core responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and undertake policy research toward the elimination of crop residue burning in Northern India
• Conduct primary surveys, field visits, and analyze primary and secondary air quality datasets using statistical tools
• Write high-quality research reports and generate knowledge content like blogs and policy briefs
• Track policy measures, assist with project implementation, and support stakeholder engagement through meetings and fieldwork

This role contributes to reducing particulate concentrations in the Indo-Gangetic Plain by 30% by 2030 through data-driven air quality management, focusing on eliminating crop residue burning and strengthening policy engagement.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with specialization in agricultural engineering, environmental engineering, public policy, environmental science and policy, or economics
• 3-5 years of work experience with prior experience working with urban local bodies, agricultural department officials, and proven stakeholder engagement
• Proficient in English and Hindi, and proficient in data analytical tools like Python or R
• Strong proficiency with quantitative and qualitative research methods, strong writing skills, and strong interpersonal skills
