📝 Tips for Applying to Teledyne Energy Systems

1

1. Highlight your specific experience in the security industry, especially with thermal cameras or radar, and quantify your sales achievements (e.g., 'Increased revenue by 20% in my territory').

2

2. In your resume, include a section on 'Key Partners' or 'Channel Relationships' to demonstrate your established network in the Central US.

3

3. Since the role is remote, emphasize your self-management skills and provide examples of how you've successfully worked independently in the past.

4

4. Research Teledyne's security products (e.g., FLIR cameras, VidSys VMS) and mention them in your cover letter to show you've done your homework.

5

5. Tailor your application to address how you can help Teledyne expand its market share in the Central region, possibly referencing specific states or cities you have experience in.

✉️ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

• Emphasize your direct experience with security technology, especially thermal cameras, VMS, or radar, and how it aligns with Teledyne's offerings. • Showcase your existing relationships with security partners and VARs in the Central US, and how you can leverage them for immediate impact. • Demonstrate your understanding of the security market trends and how Teledyne's solutions address them. • Express enthusiasm for Teledyne's mission in providing innovative energy and security solutions, and your desire to contribute to their growth.

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • 1. Avoid a generic resume that doesn't highlight specific security industry experience or regional relationships.
  • 2. Don't underestimate the importance of remote work skills; show you can be productive without constant supervision.
  • 3. Don't neglect to mention your willingness to travel; the role requires it, and not addressing it might imply you're not flexible.
