Recruiting and People Ops Manager

Core responsibilities:

• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate, timely payroll each cycle
• Update and maintain employee handbook, policies, and end-to-end employee lifecycle processes
• Own and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding
• Manage recruiting coordination across roles and teams, partnering with hiring managers to develop role requirements and interview plans

This role creates positive change by building strong people processes and systems that support Anthro's mission and growth, ensuring a smooth, high-quality experience for candidates and employees while helping shape the organizational culture.

Required skills and experience:

• 5+ years of experience across both People Operations and Recruiting, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment
• Experience at a Series A–C company, ideally scaling from ~50 to 200 employees
• Hands-on experience building/improving HR infrastructure, processes, and systems with automation
• Strong understanding of California employment law and compliance across federal, state, and local laws
