Real-Time Firmware Engineer

• Design, implement, and test real-time firmware for microcontroller-based systems used in clean energy products.
• Contribute directly to product development from concept through release, including control, communications, and functional safety.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software engineers in a highly integrated environment.
• Develop requirements, specifications, and test strategies; debug and troubleshoot timing-critical systems.

This role directly contributes to building firmware that powers electrification, grid resiliency, and distributed energy resources, helping reduce carbon emissions and making clean energy more accessible to homeowners.

• 5+ years experience as a Real-Time Firmware engineer designing, implementing, and testing embedded software/firmware for microcontroller-based products.
• Professional experience developing software applications in C/C++ and using RTOS for multi-threaded, timing-critical applications.
• Proficient with debugging/troubleshooting techniques including JTAG debuggers, trace analyzers, and electronics lab equipment.
• Experience with source control (Git), static analysis tools, and design documentation.

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 annually, plus bonus and equity. Benefits include health insurance (75% coverage for employees, spouses, and children), flexible paid time off, 401K with company match, and equity stock options.
