Real Estate Counsel

• Draft, review, and negotiate solar leases, SNDAs, easements, and memorandums of lease while providing due diligence on real estate matters to ensure successful solar project development.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to real estate and renewable energy development, staying informed of evolving legal trends impacting solar projects.
• Partner with the Business Development team to structure and close deals efficiently, acting as a trusted legal advisor to leadership on solar leases, project-specific considerations, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate across business units during various project lifecycle stages, including project financing and construction, while balancing legal compliance, risk management, and company business objectives.

This role supports the development of commercial rooftop solar projects, which are the fastest, smartest way to build new clean power, delivering megawatts of generation in months and reshaping how energy gets built in the U.S. to power America's energy future.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• 2+ years of relevant legal experience in real estate law, preferably with leasing experience and/or experience within the renewable energy sector.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while balancing business expectations with legal compliance objectives.
