R&D Engineer

• Design, conduct, and supervise experiments to test scientific theories to discover/validate properties of materials and processes.
• Develop scientific theories and mathematical models to explain physical phenomena and predict future behavior.
• Analyze and interpret large amounts of data using complex mathematical calculations, computer simulations, and software like Python or MATLAB.
• Plan, perform, and review calculations/simulations and qualification tests on various types of parts and processes of capacitor products.

This role contributes to the design and development of capacitor products, supporting Hitachi Energy's mission to advance sustainable energy solutions and infrastructure.

• Master's degree in physics (PhD preferred in Thermal, Sound and Acoustics) with 4-5 years of experience in manufacturing industry, preferred in high voltage switchgear.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, curiosity, creativity, and persistence.
• Proficiency with data analysis and computer simulations, and familiarity with laboratory equipment and experimental techniques.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Hindi language is required.
