Mission
What you will drive
- Lead the full development of the team's iGEM wiki, including choice and implementation of the web stack.
- Design and implement the wiki's visual identity, layout, navigation, and overall user experience.
- Lead and coordinate the web/software timeline and general members.
- Review, format, and finalize all wiki content to meet iGEM standards and deadlines.
- Deliver a polished, competition-ready website and supporting digital assets.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website development is an asset.
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles, responsive design, or design tools (e.g., Figma, Illustrator, Canva) is an asset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including debugging and optimizing website structure.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate technical information into clear, accessible formats.
- Demonstrated interest in synthetic biology, software development or biotechnology-related projects is considered a very strong asset.

Queen's Genetically Engineered Machine (QGEM) is a synthetic biology design team at Queen's University that provides students with hands-on, interdisciplinary experience in molecular biology, computational biology, biotechnological engineering, outreach, science communication, and entrepreneurship, while competing annually at the international iGEM competition.
