What you will drive

Responsibilities / What You'll Do

  • Design and implement a cohesive communications strategy to support the Public Finance team reaching target audiences, achieving campaign goals, and increasing movement engagement
  • Create and commission impactful materials to reach engaged public and policy-maker audiences, including press releases, fact sheets, messaging guides, emails, blog posts, social media content, graphics, videos, and more
  • Develop and maintain international and issue-specific press lists, build relationships with reporters, and pitch stories relevant to priority campaigns and initiatives
  • Collaborate with allies and partners within international and regional civil society networks to drive visibility to fossil fuel and economic justice policy announcements and campaigns

Required skills and experience:

  • 3+ years working in a communications-oriented role
  • Strong writing skills, including translating complex information into easily digestible content tailored to target audiences
  • Strategic media communications experience, including developing relationships with journalists, pitching stories, organizing press conferences, and writing media materials
  • Digital campaigning experience, including developing engaging social media strategies and audio-visual content
  • Commitment to the mission of Oil Change International, passion for advocacy and campaigning, and collaborative, team-oriented work style
