Project Engineer, High-Voltage/Substation

The Project Engineer, HV/Substation will:

• Provide performance analysis, design expertise, and independent engineering due diligence on high-voltage substation, gen-tie, and balance of plant deliverables for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects
• Partner with internal and external contacts as a subject matter expert on technical matters relating to substation and gen-tie design, HV/MV equipment, and supporting electrical balance of plant systems
• Evaluate new technologies and design methodologies applicable to PV and energy storage projects
• Ensure applicable codes, design standards, and technical requirements are met throughout the engineering, procurement and construction process

This role contributes to the development, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar and energy storage facilities, helping to advance renewable energy infrastructure and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-voltage and/or substation engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn company-specific software programs
• Subject matter expertise in specific types of equipment and understanding technical specs associated with advantages and risks of using products
• Proficient in reviewing protection and control and physical design for substation, including one lines, three lines, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA communication specifications, layout drawings
