Job DetailsProject Director – Renewable Energy Projects Gridworks is seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead the execution of large-scale utility and renewable energy projects. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee all phases of project delivery, from planning and budgeting to commissioning and closeout, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.About the CompanyFounded in 2014, Gridworks is a leading EPC contractor specializing in utility-scale solar and renewable energy projects throughout the United States. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, and operational excellence, Gridworks continues to expand its footprint across the growing clean energy sector, helping power a more sustainable future.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic oversight for all project phases, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout.Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and finance to ensure successful project execution.Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, earned value tracking, and change order processes.Champion safety, quality, and environmental compliance while fostering a high-performance and accountable team culture.Maintain executive-level client and stakeholder relationships to ensure transparency, alignment, and risk mitigation.Support team development through mentoring, performance evaluations, and training initiatives for project managers and key staff.Oversee project risk management, monitor KPIs, and ensure proactive mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and profitability goals.Drive project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-built documentation, subcontractor/vendor reconciliations, and lessons-learned capture.QualificationsQualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in relevant fieldMinimum 10 years’ experience in construction management overseeing large projects Experience taking conceptual design through construction, working with internal and external partnersCurrent driver’s license  Equal Opportunity EmployerGridworks is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and sustainable workplace. Employment decisions are based on merit, competence, and business needs, without regard to any protected status.
