Mission

What you will drive

  • Strategic development and project leadership: Work with Asia Programme director, team members and PIE executive directors to devise and implement strategies to advance a constructive programme towards emerging and developing economies' energy transition and clean electrification and the interaction with regional actors including China.
  • Network mobilization and grant cultivation: Proactively expand PIE's network in Asia by identifying and engaging new strategic partners within government agencies, industrial and corporate players, think tanks and civil society partners.
  • Fundraising and external representation: Establish a key presence and connection with regranters and funders based in Asia or with strong focus in Asia and develop strategic programme collaboration and fundraising efforts.
  • Quality and high value convening and field alignment: Strategically plan, organize and facilitate major field convenings or strategic discussions with Asia-based grantees, other PIE teams, regranters, funders and partners across the broader climate ecosystem.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • University degree or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, with solid track record on leading, engaging, managing and coordinating projects related to energy transition with a primary focus in Asia.
  • A good knowledge and strategic comprehension on international climate politics, diplomacy, economics, industry and trade.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications in English, with the ability to crystallise complex issues into effective and readable strategy documents.
