About the Role
The Programme Head, African Peace and Security Governance will provide strategic direction to the programme, overseeing key aspects such as fundraising, financial planning, team leadership, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategic direction of the programme
- Fundraising, donor liaison and reporting
- Financial and budget planning and controls
- Team leadership and staff management
- Ensuring quality control and delivery of outputs and outcomes in line with donor agreements and the ISS strategic plan
- Representing the ISS at high-level meetings in Africa and globally
- Actively contributing to internal ISS management meetings, and to ISS-wide planning and reporting processes
- Ensuring effective communication of results to target audiences
- Monitoring and evaluation of programme work
- Providing support to the Regional Director
