Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Manage the ARA program's day-to-day operations to achieve its intended outcomes of improving water quality and maintaining healthy stocking densities
  • Lead field operations, oversee Program Associates, and maintain strong farmer relationships
  • Build and maintain relationships with ARA farmers and spend 50%+ of time in the field engaging with stakeholders
  • Lead the process of enrolling new farms in the ARA and provide field input during strategic meetings

This role improves the welfare of farmed fishes through the Alliance for Responsible Aquaculture program, which has already improved the lives of over four million fishes by working with over 200 fish farms in India.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Indian national or long-term resident with full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh
  • Fluent in oral and written Telugu and English
  • 1 year of experience managing field programs in development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors
  • Demonstrated experience managing team members and stakeholder (ideally farmer) relationships
  • Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads
