Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to Acumen West Africa, including compliance with Nigerian and Canadian laws for program activities
- Review and draft contracts for program activities, covering charitable and commercial issues including intellectual property, data privacy, and employment matters
- Support deal documentation and coordination for early-stage equity, debt, and other investments in West Africa
- Implement and maintain program processes to ensure compliance with Canadian laws and donor requirements

Required qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience practicing transactional law and supporting legal projects across various stakeholders
- Familiarity with legal issues specific to Nigeria; ability to learn Canadian legal requirements
- Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder management skills
- Permanently authorized to work in Nigeria with a license to practice law
