Program Director (Talent)

Core responsibilities:

• Build Horizon's candidate sourcing systems by maintaining databases, leading outreach, tracking leads, and analyzing outcomes to optimize strategies
• Strengthen assessment processes by refining application questions, training colleagues, coordinating assessment rounds, and proposing process improvements
• Identify top candidates and match them with the right program by reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and routing candidates to best-fit opportunities
• Cultivate partnerships across the policy ecosystem by building relationships with organizations, universities, and individual referrers

This role multiplies Horizon's impact by increasing the quantity and quality of people supported through programs, directly determining how many individuals successfully transition into emerging tech policy careers and accelerating the impact of each program.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent professional communication skills in writing and conversation
• Ability to make calibrated assessments about candidates' interest in policy work, communication skills, subject matter expertise, and role fit
• Entrepreneurial, growth-minded team player who can work in-person in Washington, DC

Salary: $110,000-$150,000+ based on experience and seniority
