Program Design Officer

Core responsibilities:

• Lead the design and adaptation of RTV's programs to align with local community needs, national policies, and donor expectations
• Develop evidence-based, impact-driven program models that are scalable and responsive to country-specific challenges
• Work closely with technical leads and cross-functional teams to ensure best practices and programmatic standards are embedded in designs
• Engage local governments, community leaders, and civil society organizations to ensure program designs reflect community priorities

This role creates positive change by designing cost-effective and impact-driven project designs that help increase household income and production in RTV partner communities, contributing to the pathway out of ultra-poverty for last mile communities in sub-Saharan Africa.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematics, Population Studies, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in program design, development, or technical coordination within the development sector
• Strong understanding of country-specific socio-economic dynamics, policy frameworks, and community engagement strategies
• Proficient in Microsoft suite, especially Excel, VBA, Word and PPT
• Experience working in sectoral areas such as Agriculture, WASH, Health, and Livelihoods
