Program Assistant

Core responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics for meetings, convenings, and strategy sessions, and manage calendars of upcoming events
• Support grant and contract management by tracking applications, assisting grantees and contractors, and communicating decisions
• Maintain shared files, documents, and communication tools, and partner with IT consultants to support tech needs
• Support donor and grantee coordination, including organizing external meetings and webinars, taking notes, and sharing key information

This role supports bold, high-impact work protecting and strengthening democracy by helping keep the team's work organized, responsive, and effective, contributing to efforts that defend civil society, protect elections, and promote accountability for assaults on rule of law.

Required skills and experience:

• Demonstrated commitment to strengthening democracy with a focus on racial and social equity
• Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience, ideally in an administrative/operations role
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort communicating with donors, grantees, and external partners
