Working here means contributing to the clean energy transition while navigating complex privacy landscapes across Europe. The company's innovative spirit and commitment to sustainability make it an exciting place to grow your career in data protection.

About This Role

As the Privacy & Data Protection Coordinator for Europe, you will be the guardian of data privacy, ensuring Sungrow's operations comply with GDPR and other European regulations. This role is impactful because you'll shape privacy practices from the ground up, working cross-functionally to embed privacy-by-design into cutting-edge solar technologies. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to ESG initiatives, broadening your compliance expertise.

💡 A Day in the Life

Your day might start with reviewing a new European regulation and advising the product team on its implications for a smart inverter. Mid-morning, you could be coordinating a DPIA for a new data-sharing initiative with a German utility, followed by responding to a data subject request from a French customer. After lunch, you might prepare training materials for the sales team on privacy-by-design, then wrap up by assisting the compliance team with an ESG report.

  • Experience conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
  • Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for non-legal teams, especially in a tech or energy sector.
  • Proactive and organized, with experience coordinating cross-border privacy programs and training employees.
