Mission

What you will drive

As a Principal Water Quality Modeller, you will:

  • Lead water quality assessments in rivers, lakes, and coastal waterbodies, acting as technical lead on projects and collaborating with hydrologists and engineers.
  • Develop tools to deliver efficiencies and innovative solutions for clients, while guiding junior staff and contributing to bids and strategy.
  • Build and check water quality models using packages like MIKE+, MIKE21/3, InfoWorks ICM, and others for studies and environmental impact assessments.
  • Produce and review technical reports, manage project delivery, and build client relationships while staying updated on legislation and guidelines.

What makes you a great fit

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in building and checking water quality models using tools such as MIKE+, MIKE21/3 HD/AD/Ecolab, InfoWorks ICM, CORMIX, and SAGIS-SIMCAT.
  • Ability to conceptualize and scope modelling approaches, considering risks and opportunities, and produce high-quality technical reports.
  • Proven track record in leading bids, mentoring staff, and building relationships with clients and across technical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of project management systems to deliver outputs within agreed programmes and budgets, and familiarity with industry developments and legislation.
