Principal Security Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of Workiva security architectures to protect data deployed into multiple cloud systems
• Prioritize long-term security architecture, integration of AI-driven security tooling, and DevSecOps maturity
• Help lead the security vision and strategy across all platforms and partner with business leaders to identify key risks and opportunities
• Design, develop, and implement cloud-native architectures with appropriate security controls

This role enhances Workiva's cloud security posture by developing advanced security architectures and integrating AI-driven security tooling to protect sensitive data across multiple cloud systems.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years experience with Security Architecture and/or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience with Cloud platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience using, implementing, or securing Artificial Intelligence technologies with an "AI-first" mindset

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary range in the US: $177,000.00 - $284,000.00
• A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
