Principal Mission Architect

Core responsibilities:

• Develop complete mission concepts based on customer needs
• Perform mission-level analysis and own all top-level mission budgets
• Define requirements and design for missions and RF/optical instruments
• Leverage software tools and code to explore engineering trade studies

This role helps develop space missions that deliver Earth Intelligence for climate monitoring and national security, contributing to a safer and more resilient world.

Required qualifications:

• B.S. or higher in engineering plus 12+ years of space mission experience
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills
• Spacecraft and space mission design experience
• Software skills in Python, Julia, Matlab, C, or C++

Salary range $207,000 - $257,823 plus competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, disability/life insurance, three weeks paid vacation, 12 paid holidays, unlimited sick time, and paid parental leave.
