Principal Engineer

• Serve as a key technical advisor and architect, optimizing software development and ensuring platform architecture scales to meet the company's vision.
• Navigate ambiguous challenges, become deeply familiar with the AWS/Kotlin/React ecosystem, and partner with teams to overcome tough challenges during high growth.
• Drive technical direction by crafting compelling RFCs and building consensus across teams.
• Act as a consultant to individuals and teams, helping them navigate complex technical decisions and moderating high-stakes discussions.

This role directly contributes to Omnidian's mission of building a more sustainable future by ensuring the reliability and performance of distributed solar and energy storage systems through innovative technology.

• Proven ability to lead through influence with extensive prior experience as a Lead or Principal Engineer driving company-wide technical initiatives.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (JVM), React (TypeScript), AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and relational/NoSQL databases.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on platform architecture and developer experience.
• Professional experience integrating AI/LLMs into internal developer workflows and user-facing product features.
