Principal Economist

• Lead and guide research, primary and secondary data collection, statistical and micro-econometric data analysis, and reporting tasks for energy utility clients.
• Mentor project teams, synthesize research findings, and translate results into actionable recommendations.
• Manage project budgets, planning, staff balancing, and resource management while communicating with clients.

This role advances energy efficiency, decarbonization, and demand-side management, helping utilities and governments reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable energy use.

• BA/BS in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field with 15-18 years experience; OR MA/MS with 12-15 years; OR PhD with 10+ years.
• Professional experience with statistical software (R, Python, SAS, or Stata).
• Familiarity with electricity sector/utility industry and demonstrated experience with inferential statistics and regression analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and time-management skills.
